Hungary: Discoveries of Bronze Age settlement |

Archaeologists have discovered in the eastern Hungarian village remains high, which was founded 4000 years ago - reports Hungarian MTI website.
It was discovered by a team of archaeologists from the Museum Deriego in Debrecen during earthworks associated with the development of the local sewerage network in the city. He informed Krisztian Szilagyi, who heads the team work of 40 archaeologists in the area of 2 hectares, scientists have identified remains of a large settlement from the Bronze Age, which was also inhabited in the later periods.
The settlement was founded in the period 2700-2500 BC, and the residues found by researchers also indicate a later phase, the use of this space as a human habitat - the second phase during the Sarmatian (II-III century AD) and the youngest in the period VIII-IX centuries According to the archaeologists discovered a settlement is the largest such discovery in the eastern Hungarian. Scientists find the position of many artifacts and everyday objects, as well as two human skeletons, which - in their view - is the unexpected discovery, since the Bronze Age bodies of the dead were often subjected to cremation.
